QSUT remains the most visited health care treat with more than 300,000 ambulatory treatments per year, counting on 27,000 surgeries accommodated for treatment in a year – all handled through the Emergency Coordination Unit.
When visited the emergency unit, it shown quite very poor conditions, causing delays in coordination and communication among sections and hospitals, their doctors and nurses available to care, treat and intervene in citizens’ health urgencies. Inspired to bring the best of technologic experience for a public benefit, Vodafone Foundation is turning it to a digital coordination emergency centre which aims to transform the current reality to a super-fast, qualitative and specialised emergency response.
On top of this, a number of portable medical devices for emergency ambulatory service were donated, ensuring suitable respiratory anxiety patients by using the ventilation technology and unique gas control algorithms.
The entire investment for emergency room devices, furniture, tech-solution and implementation is EURO 66, 412.
