Vodafone Albania is part of Vodafone Group Plc – one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies.  As one of the world’s most valuable brands, Vodafone Albania is a leader in the market, not only as an operator in the electronic communication industry, but also as a remarkable contributor in the economic and social development of the country.

Vodafone Albania started offering GSM services for the first time in Albania in August 3, 2001. Since 2001, Vodafone has marked a successful performance in the market, reaching today to 1, 8 million customers who have chosen Vodafone for their communication needs.
Vodafone Albania has a network of 146 shops across the country providing services 7 days a week. Vodafone Albania shops offer products and services, handsets and accessories and technical assistance. The Customer Care Service of Vodafone Albania responds to the concerns of customers 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. 

Vodafone has been a pioneer in bringing benefits of the mobile and digital revolution to the country and the driving force behind the development of the mobile industry in Albania.  In 2011, Vodafone was the first to launch 3G services, introducing for the first time a high speed mobile Internet access at affordable prices.  4 years later, Vodafone was again first to launch a state of the art 4G/4G+ network, hence revolutionising the customers’ navigation experience and introducing another advanced level of speed and quality.

Customer satisfaction is main priority of Vodafone, therefore, the company has invested more than €1,415 mln in Albania including here investments in infrastructure, spectrum, regulatory fees, distribution channels, human resources etc. Only in 2016-17, Vodafone Albania has invested €32 mln in network infrastructure and about €16 mln in spectrum acquisitions, to guarantee best coverage and the most modernized network in the country.

In times of when customers’ demands grow rapidly, Vodafone invests constantly to provide the best for the customers. A perfect example is the introduction of the latest technology, Internet of Things through concrete innovative products and services which will serve Albanian customers.

Apart from its undisputable contribution in the electronic communication sector, Vodafone Albania has a very crucial role in economic and social development of the country. As one of the biggest taxpayers, since 2001, Vodafone has paid out over €208 mln in various tax contributions; such contribution was reinvested by the state in various sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, etc.

Vodafone Albania is one of the most attractive employers in Albania, not only recruiting significant number of employees, but also generating other businesses employment opportunities. Until today, Vodafone Albania counts 398 direct employees and 561 indirect employees (outsourced and franchisee), excluding here business partners that have dedicated employees for services provided to Vodafone.

As a company example of diversity and ethics, corporate social responsibility is an integral part of Vodafone Albania Culture. Therefore, the company has dedicated a considerable part of its budget to support projects that enhance the development and social wellbeing of the community.
