Status of the SIM Card
Active status
You can fully utilize all the services/options that Vodafone offers by only making a call to any number or 131, send SMS or navigate in the Internet.
Careful:
The outgoing activity (call, SMS, internet) needs to be performed in Albania.
By calling 141 and choosing option 1, you will be informed about the last recharge date and the expiration date of this credit. The credit expiration date determines the duration of the Active Status, during which you are able to use all the services that belong to your tariff plan.
Each recharge increases your credit validity depending on the validity period that the recharge has and the credit expiration date that is defined in the Vodafone recorded message when calling 141 before recharging.
The validities of the recharges are as per below:
In any case, the longest credit validity period determined by the recharge performed will also be classified as the credit expiry term (the longest term is 12 months), giving you the opportunity to use more the services and offers of Vodafone.
If you do not recharge your Vodafone number until the date mentioned in the registered message, your number will go to the Passive Status. You will be notified by an SMS 7 days prior to the date of transition to the Passive Status in order to recharge your Vodafone account and stay in active status.
Passive status
If you do not recharge within 7 days from the time you are notified by SMS, your number automatically go to the Passive Status.
Passive status corresponds to a 3-month period in which you can recharge, receive calls, SMS, MMS, or credit transfer from another number, but you cannot perform outgoing activity or use other Vodafone services.
If, once your number goes to passive status, if your credit balance is greater than zero, the remaining credit will be confiscated permanently and cannot be used any more. If you make a recharge during passive status or if another number will transfer credit into your number, then your number will go back to the Active Status.
Deactivation of your number from the Vodafone network
If you do not perform any recharge during the Passive Status, then your number will be deactivated from the Vodafone network.
Vodafone will notify you with an SMS 10 days before the deactivation date informing you to make a recharge so that your number will go to the Active Status. If your number is deactivated by the Vodafone network, the Mobile Number Registration Form for your number is considered automatically free. After deactivating your number, Vodafone reserves the right to disconnect your number from the Vodafone network.
For each case, Vodafone will notify you with an SMS about the status you will be transferring, and how you can return to the Active Status, in which you can use all Vodafone Albania’s offers and services.
