Vodafone Foundation and Partners Empower Children Through Inno Kids Summer Camp
30 July 2026 | Korçë - From Play to Innovation: Vodafone Foundation and Partners Empower Children Through Inno Kids Summer CampTechnology and innovation can become powerful tools for children’s development when introduced in a safe, balanced and meaningful way. This was the vision behind the Inno Kids Summer Camp in Korçë, which brought together 70 children for two weeks of exploration, creativity and learning, encouraging them to discover the opportunities of the digital world through play, challenges and hands-on experiences.
Supported by the Vodafone Foundation Albania, in partnership with the Municipality of Korçë and the British Council, the Inno Kids Summer Camp provided children with an inspiring environment where learning, creativity and entertainment came together through coding kits, modern digital skills curricula and innovative technology tools.
What made Inno Kids unique was not only its content, but also the dedication of six certified mentors and trainers, experienced in delivering the British Council’s “21st Century Schools” curriculum and the Vodafone Foundation’s “Skills Upload Jr” programme. Through interactive learning methods and practical activities, they helped children understand that technology is not only something to consume, but a tool they can use to create innovative solutions that contribute to society and address real-world challenges. The methodologies and curricula implemented throughout the summer camp, held from 13 to 24 July 2026, reflect the same approach used across European countries where the Vodafone Foundation delivers its Skills Upload Jr programme.
At the heart of the programme was the development of essential future-ready skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and the ability to design technology-based solutions for meaningful social challenges. Equally important was fostering children’s digital wellbeing, helping them feel confident, safe and empowered to use technology responsibly and benefit from its opportunities.Throughout the camp, the ideas and creativity of the 70 participating children transformed into innovative projects and concepts inspired by what they learned. Their work demonstrated that when children are given the right tools, guidance and freedom to explore, they do not simply wait to be taught — they become creators of the future.
The Inno Kids Summer Camp was not only about digital learning. Children also took part in educational games, teamwork challenges and practical exercises that combined imagination, logic and collaboration, creating a learning experience that was both engaging and meaningful. The closing ceremony of the Inno Kids Summer Camp was attended by Mr. Sotiraq Filo, Mayor of Korçë, Ms. Viola Puci, Executive Director of Vodafone Foundation Albania, and Ms. Majlinda Mazelliu, Deputy Director for the Western Balkans and Director for Albania and Kosovo at the British Council. During the ceremony, children received certificates celebrating their achievements and their contribution to building a more digitally skilled generation. The experience showed that Albania’s digital future is already being shaped today, through the curiosity of children, the power of ideas and opportunities that allow them to learn, create and innovate.About Skills Upload JrSkills Upload Jr, part of Vodafone Foundation’s initiatives across Europe, aims to ensure that every child and young person has access to the digital skills needed to feel included, confident and prepared for today’s rapidly changing world. The programme also supports teachers in integrating digital skills across different subjects using modern technologies, including smart devices, artificial intelligence, robotics and augmented reality.During the 2025–2026 academic year, Skills Upload Jr directly engaged 27,259 teachers and 253,206 students across Albania and seven European countries where the programme is implemented.
