Tirana-The students of “Don Bosco” Center have successfully completed another year of training program supported by Vodafone Albania.
The mobile telephony company has always shown concern on this countries’ social problems by engaging in activities and initiatives that aim to improve the life of the community.  In this framework, Vodafone Albania has further expanded its successful cooperation with YAPS (one of the most important social projects supported by Vodafone since the beginning of its activity in Albania), to support the training course for Commercial Studies followed by 11 students of this center.
This training program aimed to give an opportunity to abandoned young people, Roma minority and young people with social problems, to follow studies that involve important and valuable topics.  The program was organized by UNICEF with the support of Vodafone Albania.
This educational and development program, initiated by “Don Bosco” Center, found the support of Vodafone Group Foundation, which at the beginning of this year accorded a grant of 10,000 Euro that will serve to further professional and educational development of the young people of “Don Bosco” Center.
11 students received today the certificate for the completion of the studies that they have performed on different subjects, such as mathematics, English language, computer and fundamental business communication skills, studies that will contribute to their future professional development.
During the ceremony of awarding the certificates, Mr. Thomas Papaspyrou, the General Director of Vodafone Albania, stated, “Vodafone is proud to support such initiatives that provide educational and employment opportunities for young people.  The partnership with UNICEF and “Don Bosco” Social Center was very successful and the graduation of these students is a clear indicator of our company maximal engagement in offering solutions to the social problems of the community where we operate”.
