What is Mobile Number Portability?

Mobile Number Portability is the possibility for a pre-paid or post paid customer to switch from the current mobile operator to another, keeping the same mobile number that already owns.
If you have an active mobile number in the network of another operator, you can apply at any Vodafone point of sale to port your number, and to sign the new subscription contract, either pre-paid or post paid.

Also, Vodafone offers the possibility to verify if a mobile number belongs to Vodafone or not, all you have to do is:

1) Enter in the  #123#  menu
2) Select Operator Control & Tariff Plan in the “Services” category
3) Put the number you wish to verify
