Together toward the Special Olympics
Endriti is an animator who has been volunteering for the past three years in the Special Olympic Games organized in our country. He says: “During these three Olympic Games I have been thinking what can I do in order that the Games won’t be only the beginning and the end of a three days job, which happens once a year for these people and where often some are able to go out their special schools only when coming in Tirana, but being an on going work with the duration of one year.” Endrit will visit 12 cities in Albania, where there are centers for the care of children with special needs. In total there are around 300 athletes with special needs that require training for the upcoming Special Olympics. In each city there will be organized training sessions for the teachers of the centers on the appropriate ways of preparing the players for theOlympics as well as entertaining activities for the children. In the training is estimated the participation of 48 teachers from all the schools, as well as 40 volunteers, which will be part of Endriti’s team. The success of the project will be the creation of a consolidated group of collaborators between the schools and the local and national authorities in order to have a dignified participation in the World Special Olympics. Endri has the support of "Albania Animators Association".
